TASER® Training

Safe handling, monthly testing, and other things to know about your purchased TASER

All about our TASER class

At your training session we'll go over:

  • The anatomy of your TASER Pulse and TASER Pulse cartridge and battery.
  • How to load and unload the cartridge.
  • How and when to check the battery, and how to change it if necessary.
  • Safe handling and operating procedures.
  • The technology (lite): how TASERs work, including proper probe placement.
  • How to access, download, and set up your Noonlight software: this step may not be completed in the class as you'll want to be in front of your own computer with your own credit card in hand. We'll show you the steps, though.

We also cover California law as it relates to CEWs (conducted electrical weapons) and, if your bring a holster, concealment and holstering skills.

You are responsible for supplying your own TASER and one training round. You will expend one cartridge in training. (Your TASER comes with two live cartridges. You can use one of those for practice or you can purchase a less-expensive training round. We'll discuss your options prior to class.) Eye protection is required.

TASER Pulse and Pulse+: The TASER Pulse+ integrates with your mobile phone via the Noonlight mobile app to contact emergency dispatch when fired. (No fumbling for the phone or freezing up. Pull the trigger and help is coming.) Noonlight is free for use with the Pulse+. The TASER Pulse has everything you find in the Pulse+ with the exception of Noonlight capability.
